Hi,
I am accommodated at the hotel in Koh Chang near Koh Chang Pier. I would like to catch the boat from Laem Ngop Pier to Ko Mak at 11:30 or at 14:00. I am travelling on the 9th of July. When should I be at the Koh Chang Pier to have enough time to move from Aow Thammachat to Laem Ngop Pier? Or what route would you recommend me to Koh Mak?
Thank you,
Karel
If you plan to be at Ao Thammachat an hour before the speedboat to Laem Ngop departs from Krom Luang pier then that will be OK. It is about 15 minutes drive from Ao Thammachat to Krom Luang pier.
Ferries don’t usually run to the advertised timetable. So plan to be at Ao Sapporot pier maybe 2 or 2 and a half hours before the speedboat you want t catch will depart.
Hello, I would arrive to Suvarnabhumi on the 8th of Jan around 14..30, is there additional ferries running at the moment during the evenings to reach one on the same day?
The last ferry is at 18:30 from Ao Thammachat pier (Centrepoint isn’t operating at the moment) So I don’t think you’ll be able to get to Koh Chang the same evening.
Hi,
I will arrive from Bangkok by bus today. Is the last ferry to Koh Chang at 18:30 or do you have a later ferry also?
Centrepoint Ferry isn’t operating at the moment.
The last ferry from the other pier, Ao Thammachat, is at 18:30. Although if it is busy it might depart a bit later. There’s no way to know in advance.
Hello,
What are all the schedule during the low season?
Thank you.
It hasn’t been announced yet. Any timetable changes are usually announced a few days before they start. Not weeks or months in advance.
Hello, we want to go tomorrow to Koh Chang and we would like to know if we could buy the tickets online. Also, we want to know the timetable.
Thank you so much!
Boat timetables are shown on this site.
Tickets can’t be bought in advance. Buy them when you get to the pier. Foot passengers will always get on the next boat. If you are driving you might have to wait for a boat, if it’s busy.
Which one of the ferry terminals would be best for a car. Availability is my main concern. Which is the more likely to get the car on quickly and which is the most likely to have to wait in line
If you are travelling at a busy time eg New Year or Songkran then you’ll have to wait in line at both piers. The main difference is that Ferry Koh Chang will run boats continuously, they fill up and leave, during very busy periods. Whereas Centerpoint tends not to. They stick to their limited timetable. So although there might be a much shorter queue at Centerpoint, that doesn’t mean you’d get to Koh Chang any quicker.
Hello I’m arriving tomorrow at 2 at Trat center point but wanted to take the ticket in advance to be sure I will take the ferry
How can I buy it?
Ferry tickets can’t be bought in advance. If you are a foot passenger you will get on the next boat. If you’re in a car you have to wait with everyone else.
Is there a 10am Ferry from Centrepoint?
Thanks
Yes, there’s a boat at 10am. The timetable changed recently but I haven’t updated page yet.
Hello,
we’d like to take the ferry to Koh Chang WITH a car. Shall we book our tickets in advance? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Best regards,
Adele
Hi Adele. Ferry tickets can’t be booked in advance. Buy them when you get to the pier.
What’s the timetable this Songkran holiday (tomorrow)? Thank you
The timetable hasn’t changed. But if it is very busy then the boats will run more frequently.
Can we book tickets online or need to get tickets from there?
Buy tickets at the pier. They can’t be booked in advance or online.
Hi there, if we are flying out of Trat at 10:00am, will we have enough time to get the ferry from Koh Chang plus a transfer to Trat Airport? What time does the first ferry depart Koh Chang? Thank you!
You won’t have any problem getting to the airport in time for the flight. Just book a ticket for the shared minibus which is run for Bangkok Airways passengers. It picks up from hotels around 06:15 – 07:00.
What is the low season schedule for the 30th of August 2019?
The ferries run virtually the same schedule, occasionally one of the sailings at lunchtime 12 – 14:00 might not run, so if you are arriving then you might have a longer than usual wait for a boat. And the weather sometimes affects crossing times at this time of year.
Dears.
How to become a member?
Best regards
Kim Berg
You just need to apply at the ticket office. Easy.
Good morning. Will you still be running this weekend with Storm Pabuk warnings? I’m due to travel to KC Saturday 5th Jan. Thank you.
The ferries are running as normal. This area of Thailand isn’t really affected by the tropical storm.
Hi,
our airplane will arrive on 20. November at 5.55pm in Trat.
Will we reach the last ferry at 7 pm? Is it true, the last ferry is waiting for the last plane?
best regards
Passengers coming from Trat Airport on the shared minibus service use the other ferry. It will wait if flights are delayed. See Trat Airport information for details
hello, i would like to book on line from Trat to Kho Chang, the 14/Jan/2019 for 2 adult and
1 child 5 years old. is it possible online booking? witch web site? thanks
Ferry tickets cant be booked in advance anywhere. Buy them when you get to the pier.
Hi, I’m wondering if I take bus from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 14:00 on 2 Dec 2018, can I take the last ferry to Koh Chang?
You won’t have any problem getting to Koh Chang if you’re on the 14:00 minibus from Suvarnabhumi.
Sawatdii Khrap
Thanks for all this information !
A question about the vehicles categories allowed to cross on the ferries: is it possible to embark with a camper van, 3.5 tons, 7m long, 3m high?
If so how much does it cost?
Thx a lot
Although it is better to use the main ferry – Ferry Koh Chang – rather than Centrepoint as it’s much easier to get on the boat in a large vehicle.
18 wheel trucks can go on the ferries, so no problem to take a camper van. It will probably be charged the same price as a 6 wheel truck (450 Baht) or you will pay around 100 Baht more than a normal car as it is longer.
What time is last ferry tommorrow?
The last ferry from Centrepoint pier is 18:00 and from Ferry Koh Chang (Ao Thammachat) pier it’s 18:30
Bonjour ou puis je acheter mes billets car je vais arriver juste avant le dernier ferry
Tickets can’t be booked in advance. You can only buy them at the ferry pier when you arrive.
Hi,
The schedule at low season saying no ferry runs at 14:00 and 14:30. If we arrive on 30 Jun 2018. Is this true? Thanks
If you take the Centerpoint ferry. Use the other ferry, from Ao Thammachat pier. They have more frequent sailings.
If we arrive at Trat at 6pm, can we catch the ferry? It will be in October
You wont have any problem getting to Koh Chang. The easy way is to take the Bangkok Airways minibus which they run for their passengers. Ticket price is 500 Baht per person including ferry ticket. It will drop you off at your hotel on Koh Chang More information: TratAirportGuide.com
is there a private boat that can bring me to ko chang today? if so, how much does it cost
A private boat is usually about 3500 Baht. You will need to contact a tour agent or someone with a boat. This service isn’t provided by the ferry companies.
Hello,
Please could you advise me on what company provides bus service at 11.30 from Centerpoint pier to Bangkok and how I can book 3 tickets. Thanks.
Best,
Viktor
You can buy tickets from a tour agent on Koh Chang.
today 15 feb Will it be 19h30 or late the last ferry ?
Yes. The same as usual
Hi
I am traveling with my dog and was wondering if you allow pets on board?
Thanks
Ash
Hi Ash. No problem to bring your dog on the boat.
Hi we are arriving in Trat late tonight 20:30/21:00 there will be no ferries? Can we get a taxi boat across? Thank you 🙂
The last boat is at 19:30. But if there is a group of people you might be able to arrange a boat privately. This is usually around 3500 – 4000 Baht total.
When is the last ferry on Friday 29th Dec,17?
Thx
The last ferry is scheduled for 19:30
Hi there,
can we book the ferry ticket in advance for the car? or need to buy it on site?
Tickets can only be bought at the pier. Not in advance.
Can we take the ferry from Pattaya to Koh Chang?
Round trip
16 December and 19 December
No. Because there aren’t any ferries from Pattaya to Koh Chang. Only Pattaya to Hua Hin. A Sattahip to Koh Chang service is supposed to be starting but no one knows when.
Hello
Are your ferries running timetable on 28 October
Thanks
The timetable is the same every day.
Hello captain,
Does the ferry will ride on the 26 October 2017, cause it will be the cremation of The Highness Bhumibol Adulyadej.
Kind regards
Jean
The ferries will run as normal.
HI,
I plan take ferry and leave my car at mainland since I don’t really need it on Koh chang,
IS there a car park where can leave a car for few days at pier?
It’s better to take the car to Koh Chang, then you’ll be able to see the island easily. You can park at the piers but very few people do. There aren’t security guards.
Hello.
We are on the road to centre point ferry (piere). The google maps shows us that we will arrive at 19:45. It is possiblle to catch the last ferry at 19:30?? Is it possible to wait for our car?? We will be grateful for the answer.
Best regards
Jan
Sorry. It isn’t possible to delay the ferry for passengers. If you are not at the pier by 19:30 you will have to stay on the mainland tonight.
Hello, how many hours is the last ferry to Koh Chang. We arrive at BKK on December 11 at 12.35 and we are not sure if we can catch the last ferry. Thank you
You will be able to catch the last ferry if you take the Suvarnabhumi Burupha minibus from the airport at 14:00 or take a private transfer. It is about 4 and a half hours drive from the airport to the ferry pier. Tickets for the shared minibus can only be booked in advance here: https://12go.asia/en/travel/suvarnabhumi-airport/koh-chang/?z=80259
Hi,
I will leave Koh Chang on the 2nd of december to catch a flight from Trat airport to Bangkok at 10 am. I need the time to check my bag in. When will i have to leave Koh Chang in the morning? And how will i as quickly as possible get to Trat airport? Is it a long drive?
Thank you!
Hi Emilia.
. The easy thing to do is book a ticket for the shared minibus that Bangkok Airways runs for their passengers. Then you don’t have to worry about missing the flight.
You can do this online at https://tratairportguide.com .
The ticket price is 400 or 470 Baht including ferry ticket. Pick up time will be around 06:00 – 07:00 (Depending on where you are staying.)
Will we be able to get the Ferry across to koh Chang on friday 13 october (public holiday for kings anniversary )?
Thanks
The ferries run every day of the year. They’ve never stopped for a day for any public holiday or anniversary.
Hello,
So in August the first ferry will leave mainland at 6h00 for sure ?
Thank you.
It will be about 06:00
I heard that earlier this year one of the Koh Chang ferries stopped running for a while after a fire. Are both services running now please? Thanks.
One of the boats from the other ferry company had been a fire. The boat was repaired quickly, no major damage and is back in service.
Hello, i’m arriving to Bangkok this Saturday (12/8/17) at 14:30 and planning to take a Taxi/Van to Trat.
Is there a ferry at 21:00?
will i make it? there is no available flights…
I don’t know. I doubt there will be. But if the driver doesn’t make more than one quick stop for fuel on the way, you will get to the pier in time for the boat at 19:30.
Hello,
I intend to drive from Bangkok to Koh Chang and commute to the island by ferry on the first week of August. Is this a busy time? What time do you recommend to be at the pier to make guarantee the crossing?
Thanks in advance,
Carlos
It will be quiet in early August. The last ferry is at 19:00 from Ao Thammachat or 19:30 from Centrepoint. So if you leave Bangkok before 14:00 you’ll be able to get to Koh Chang the same evening.
Hi in may it’s a Low Season I will arrive trat airport around 7:00pm is ther any ferry available??
PG307 lands at 18:00. Take the minibus from Trat Airport then you’ll get to Koh Chang the same evening. The minibus will drop you off at your hotel.
If the flight is delayed, the ferry will wait for passengers on the minibus.
You can buy minibus tickets when you land in Trat. Or I can book tickets in advance for you. That Eil will be cheaper.
hi, we arrive around 9:40 to Pattaya airport! (From Chiang Mai) April 06, 2017. Do you have any idea how can I arrive the same day at Koh Chang? thanks for your help
A private transfer is the easiest way. Or take a pick up truck taxi to Rayong. Then bus to Trat. Then a pick up truck taxi to the ferry pier.
Hi. We will visit Koh Chang in July 2017. Our flight from BKK will arrive at 18:00 at the Trat Airport. If we are taking a Mini Bus from the Trat Airport to the ferry, will we make it to the last departure at 19:30?
Best,
Sebastian
You’ll have no problem catching the ferry. The minibuses from the airport don’t use Centrepoint pier. So you’ll be on the 7pm boat from Ao Thammachat. The boat will wait if your flight is late.
Ive heard that alot of people have a hard time finding the Goverment bus 99 on Center point pier. ( Going to Bangkok 14:00)
Maybe you can help me whit same good information on this??
Regards Alex
When you get off the ferry, take the free pick up truck shuttle to the bus office near the main road.
Hello,
We arrive at Trat airport the 16 January 18 PM with Bangkok Airways. Is it possible to catch the ferry to Koh Chang at 19:30 PM? Can we expect the ferry to wait in case of af flight delay?
Have a nice day!
Kristina
There isn’t any public transport at Trat Airport. So take the Bangkok Airways minibus to your hotel on Koh Chang. Buy tickets when you land in Trat. Ticket price is 500 Baht / person including ferry ticket. The ferry will wait for passengers on the minibus if the flight is delayed. The minibus uses the other ferry pier
Hello, i’m arriving to Bangkok this Friday (23/12/16) at 15:00 and planning to take a Taxi/Van to Trat.
Is there a ferry at 21:00?
will i make it? there is no available flights…
If you’re landing at 15:00 then you won’t get to Koh Chang the same day. The last ferry is at 19:30. Have a night in Bangkok & come to Koh Chang the next day.
The first ferry is at 06:00?
See timetable above
Good evening,
We would like to arrive at Trat Airport next Friday 5 May either around 11:45 or 16:15 P.M. – in order to catch the 13:15 or 17:45 flight to Bangkok, respectively.
What times does the ferry run from Ko Chang pier and which time is more traffic-sensitive?
If you’re a foot passenger you will always get on the next boat that leaves. The timetables are shown on this site.
Next weekend is a long holiday, so a lot of people will be arriving on the island. Ferry Koh Chang won’t be running to a timetable. Boats will just fill up and leave. Just plan on being at the pier around 2 and a half hours before your flight.
Or buy tickets for the shared minibus that will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport.
Hi – I am arriving in Bangkok Airport in the afternoon on Friday January the 27.th 2017
I would like to know, if there is extended schedule this Friday evening (because of the Chinese new year), or I’ll have to stop over for one night in Bangkok before going to Koh Chang?
Kind regards
Thomas
I don’t think so. It isn’t a public holiday in Thailand.
What time does the boat port closed? Does it close at 3 pm?
See the timetable on this page. The last ferry is at 19:30 from Centrepoint.
Hello, which ferry is less likely to sink with my car inside ? 🙂
Thank you.
Ferry Koh Chang – their boats are less rusty than Centrepoint
Hello,Captain。On January 14, 2017 (Saturday), from Centrepoint pier the last boat is at 19:30 or 21:00?
19:30 I guess. As that’s the usual time unless it’s a public holiday.
Hello. I travel with my own vehicle. Perhaps I will arrive too late for the last ferry. Can you advise where (near) to stay in such case, please?
Try Lomtalay Resort or Ban Sulada in Laem Ngop. Both not far from the ferry piers.
I would come in March 2016
my plane lands has a 18h tract
made you more taxi transport ferry to ko chang and what
Hourly
thank you
Hi. You can take the Bangkok Airways minibus from Trat to Koh Chang. See tratairportguide.com for details.
Hi there
We have a bus from bkk to that and we arrive at 19
we can still make the ferry to koh chang?
someone experience with this?
The last boat is at 19:30 from Centrepoint pier. So if you arrive at the pier before then, you’ll catch the boat.
I’m going to catch the ferry at 18:30 on Koh Chang Pier. And can i get the bus or minibus to Bangkok?
I’m going to Koh Chang on April 23, I’m driving my own car down from Bangkok, do I just turn up and hope I can get a space for my car on the ferry or do I need to pre book a space?
You cant pre-book tickets. They can only be bought at the ferry pier. So you just arrive and wait for the ferry. It shouldn’t be busy in late April. But if it is, and you cant get on the first ferry that arrives, then you wait for the next.
Hi, when are the last Ferry to Koh Chang from Centerpoint go on sunday 24 January ?
I guess it will be the usual time – 19:30
Not at 21:00 as it says some other places
◾At busy periods, such as holiday weekends there is often a ferry to and from the island at 21:00. But this isn’t on the official schedule.
Hi, are there any Ferry leaving 21.00 on saturday? 19/12-15. Our flight land in Trat 18.00.
Take the airport minibus. You will get to Koh Chang the same day without any problem. Even if your flight is delayed, the ferry will wait for passengers coming from PG307.
3 questions.
1.How can I become a member?
2.Will it cost me money to become a member?
3.How long does membership last?
I’m planning to drive a pickup truck there this month,December with one helper as passenger.
Just ask at the ticket office at Centrepoint pier, Koh Chang. You just have to show that you live on koh Chang and can become a member. You’ll need a passport photo. Memembership is for a year then you just get a new card.
Hi, I will be coming to Koh Chang on August. Could you please advise me how to get back to Bangkok? I assume I need to find a bus from Centrepoint to Trat, and then another one from Trat to Bangkok. Any suggestions that might be useful?
You can buy minibus tickets when on Koh Chang. There are various services, the most convenient are from your hotel on Koh Chang to a hotel in Bangkok. Or there’s a public bus at 14:00 daily from the mainland piers to Ekkamai Bus Station. Or there are also public minibuses from Ao Thammachat pier every hour or so. Ticket price is 300 Baht.
Do i need to book ferry first?
Hi
It isn’t possible to book tickets for the ferry in advance. If you are a foot passenger then you’ll always get on the next boat. If you are driving then you might have to wait one or two departures before you can get on if it’s a busy time of year.
Hi there. Can I count on you sailing according to plan. we are going with December 30th.
At busy periods, such as New Year, ferries from both mainland piers will be running more frequently than normal in order to reduce waiting times for visitors to the island.
Hi there
We have a flight from bkk to that and we arrive at 18:00
we can still make the ferry to koh chang?
someone experience with this?
thx
jos
Take the minibus service run by Bangkok Airways and you;re guaranteed to get to Koh Chang the same evening. The ferry will even wait if the flight is delayed. You can buy tickets when you land in Trat – 500 Baht per person. Or book tickets in advance online and save some money.
